Rosetown Thanksgiving Food Drive & 60-Second Shopping Spree
ActionsThis Thanksgiving, Central Plains Co-op celebrated a successful food drive to support the Rosetown & District Food Bank, thanks to the generous participation of our community. Through our long-standing “Good Buy to Hunger” program, customers were able to purchase $20 bags filled with essential items for the Food Bank. Each bag purchased also entered the buyer into a draw for a 60-second shopping spree at our Rosetown Food Store.
The community’s response was tremendous, with numerous shoppers taking the opportunity to donate and support the Food Bank’s mission of helping local families in need. After the drive wrapped up on October 12th, we were excited to draw our winner: Kelli Emmons. On the big day, Kelli watched as her husband, Shawn, took on the shopping spree challenge, collecting $504.26 worth of groceries in just 60 seconds, along with an added $200 meat voucher, bringing the total to $704.26.
The event was a fun and high-energy way to celebrate our community’s generosity and the difference we can make together. Central Plains Co-op extends a huge “Thank you” to everyone who contributed to this drive, filling the shelves at the Food Bank and making a real impact in Rosetown.
