Central Plains Co-op is here to help! Our scholarship program provides financial assistance to our local students as they build their future. Because their success bears testament to how we are truly local and how we care about our communities and their future.

By this time, you probably have an idea of where you want to start and have likely taken some small steps in the direction of your future. Central Plains Co-op is looking to support your ambitions with our scholarship program.
Each year, we are honoured to assist six graduating students from within our area with $1,000 each to help meet their goals!

What schools are eligible?

Six separate scholarships of $1,000 each ($6,000 total) will be offered and distributed as follows:
• North West Central School, Plenty
• Elrose School, Elrose
• Eston Composite School, Eston
• Rosetown Central High School, Rosetown
• Perdue School, Perdue
• A Grade XII Student employed at Central Plains Co-op as of
June 01, 2024

What is the application process?

There are three components to the application, all of which will be valued equally:

1. Transcript of academic standing (most recent)

2. A letter (can be in point form) detailing the ways you have made a contribution to your community (volunteer work, work experience etc.)

3. Submission of a short (max. 1 minute) video, posted to your Instagram profile explaining your plan for an original community outreach initiative that engages the community and promotes our values. The sky is the limit & there are no right/wrong ideas.
This could be things like food drives, workshops, local partnerships, etc.

*Note: If you do not tag our page we cannot enter your application. If your page is private, you must DM us and request that we follow your page. This is the only way we will see the tag.

Applications will not be valued based on likes, views or shares on your video. However, the amount of social interaction can be a good indication of quality. Have fun, be creative and be original!
